WHITE PLAINS, NY, December 13, 2002... The Educational Institute, a non-profit educational foundation of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), is accepting seminar proposals for educational programs at the 2003 International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show® (IH/M&RS), to be held November 8-11, 2003, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday, February 28, 2003.
Proposed seminars should address the interests and needs of the hospitality industry, such as lodging, food and beverage (restaurant), tourism/travel, consumer trends or related areas. Suggested topics include design, technology, human resources, security, international developments and other items of interest to hospitality professionals. Special consideration will be given to innovative proposals.
All presentations should fit into a 90-minute time frame. Proposals should include the title of the presentation, a short description of its content (summary) and a biography for each speaker, including an audiotape or videotape of the presenter(s). Proposed panel presentations should be indicated as such and include the names and backgrounds of all the speakers.

The 88th annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show will run Saturday, November 8, through Tuesday, November 11, 2003, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The IH/M&RS will feature some 1,750 hospitality industry suppliers and attract approximately 45,000 in total trade attendance.
