Legendary Hotelier Kemmons Wilson's Family Converts Hotel to Comfort Inn and Suites brand
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (Dec. 18, 2002) - The 110-unit Comfort Inn & Suites hotel, located just minutes from downtown Nashville and world famous music attractions, is now open.
The Comfort Inn & Suites hotel, located at 5566 Franklin Pike Circle (off exit 74 of I-65), was built as a Wilson Inn & Suites three years ago. The Comfort Inn & Suites is owned by Brentwood Hotel Co., LLC, a division of the Kemmons Wilson Company. Principals of the Brentwood Hotel Co. are: Robert Wilson, C. Kemmons Wilson Jr., and Spence Wilson, sons of Kemmons Wilson Sr., the founder of Holiday Inn?. The Comfort Inn & Suites is managed by Wilson Hotel Management Co., Inc. of Memphis, Tenn.
A recent $200,000 renovation of the Comfort Inn & Suites added new Serta Sleeper mattresses, bedspreads and artwork to guestrooms and updated the meeting space with new carpeting.
The Comfort Inn & Suites features 110 guestrooms and suites. Each room has two double or queen-size beds, a 27-inch cable TV with free HBO, a two-line telephone with data port, desk, coffee maker, iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Suites have a king- size bed, sofa bed, sitting room, microwave oven, refrigerator, fax machine, iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Non-smoking rooms and rooms for individuals with disabilities are also available.
Hotel features include an 18-person oversized whirlpool spa; business center with computer with internet access, printer, fax machine and photocopier; fitness center with stair climber, stationary bike, treadmill and TV; and guest laundry. The hotel also has 3,500 square feet of meeting space (three rooms) capable of accommodating 100 people.
The Comfort Inn & Suites hotel offers a free deluxe continental breakfast served daily in the lobby.
The Comfort Inn & Suites is within walking distance of restaurants and nearby shopping. The hotel is a half mile from Maryland Farms and ten miles from the Grand Old Opry and Vanderbilt University. Music Row is eight miles from the hotel.
