ATLANTA, (Dec. 20, 2002) - Holiday Inn Express announced today that
the new 118-room Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Santa Clarita
opened Dec. 17, representing another addition to the mid-scale brand's
portfolio of limited-service hotels.
The Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites-Santa Clarita is owned and
managed by Ocean Park Hotels, Inc., under a license agreement with an
affiliate of Six Continents Hotels, Inc.
This is the first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Santa Clarita,
Calif., said Jenifer Zeigler, vice president of marketing for the
Holiday Inn Express brand. Development in this growing area, which
is located near prime tourist attractions, is important in expanding
our Holiday Inn Express consumer base.
Situated in the heart of Santa Clarita, one of the fastest growing
residential and business sectors in Southern California, this 60,356
square-foot hotel is within walking distance to Six Flags Magic
Mountain and Hurricane Harbor Water Park. The property is just minutes
from Castaic Lake, home to a variety of fishing competitions and water
