SILVER SPRING, Md. (December 20, 2002) – Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH) today announced that its board of directors has elected David L. White as vice president and controller.
White, 34, joined the company in September 2002 as vice president, financial/SEC reporting, from Ernst & Young, where he supervised financial statement audits and managed special projects for both public and private companies in a wide range of industries.
“Since joining Choice, David has provided strong leadership in handling our SEC reporting as well as the budgeting and analysis function,” said Joseph M. Squeri, senior vice president, development, and chief financial officer. “His work with our external auditors and the company’s internal disclosure review committee to ensure that Choice has strong disclosure controls and procedures has earned him our confidence.”
White is a 1990 graduate of the University of Virginia. He is a certified public accountant.
