LITTLE TORCH KEY, FLORIDA (December 20, 2002) - Little Palm Island Resort & Spa has been named among the best hotels in the United States by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine, as noted in the publication’s January 2003 issue. The “Gold List” rates 700 top hotels, resorts and cruise lines throughout the world and is determined from information supplied by the subscribers of the magazine. In addition, Little Palm Island was rated #2 in the United States for Food and Dining. Over 28,000 respondents rated resorts on six characteristics - rooms, service, food/dining, location, overall design, and activities/facilities.
“We are delighted to have been selected by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler as one of their favorite resorts,” said Patrick Kluck, managing director of Little Palm Island Resort & Spa. “And we are especially thrilled to be named as one of the top hotel restaurants in the United States. Chef Adam Votaw has done an amazing job in creating meals that are as memorable as the location itself.”
In addition to the Condé Nast listings, Little Palm Island Resort & Spa has recently been lauded by other notable publications. The prestigious Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report named the resort number eight on its list of the “Top 20 U.S. Resort Hideaways.” As well, Travel + Leisure Magazine awarded Little Palm with multiple honors including: #79 - Top 100 Hotels in the World (One of only three from Florida), #24 - Top 100 Hotels in North America, #15 - Top 25 Hotel Spas in North America, #2 -- Best Hotel Spa for Service, #3 -- Best Hotel Spa for Ambience, and #25 - Top 25 Small Hotels in the World (One of only five domestic hotels and the only one from the Eastern United States)

An exclusive resort known the world over for its sumptuous accommodations, delectable cuisine and impeccable service, Little Palm Island is the ultimate definition of luxury. Its 28 authentic thatched-roof bungalow suites feature a mix of tropical and British Colonial-styled interiors with breezy fabrics, king-size beds, private outdoor showers, Jacuzzi whirlpool baths, and signature coco-mango amenities. And while modem hookups have recently been added to the guest suites (for those who must keep in touch with the outside world) there are still no phones or televisions en-suite.
Little Palm’s full-service SpaTerre is inspired by the great spas of Indonesia and is infused with a deep, spiritual calm. While the island itself is a haven of peaceful serenity, the resort has recently added four new treatment rooms - two featuring Japanese soaking tubs for the ultimate in quiet relaxation - and an outdoor wet room offering body treatments such as Vichy showers and outdoor rain showers. With over a dozen treatments available on the ultra-luxe menu, the spa provides a reprieve from the day-to-day stresses of the real world. Treatments can take place in either the spa facility, outdoors at the graceful, seaside Palapa Point, and even in the bungalow. The staff is experienced in a variety of modalities and is expertly trained to create unique programs to suit every guest’s needs.
Little Palm Island Resort & Spa is a member of Noble House Hotels & Resorts.
