Delta Hotels Launches "We Miss You Already" Sweepstakes Promotion |

TORONTO, Jan. 31 /CNW/ - From February 1 to March 31, 2003, each check-in at any Delta Hotels means instant travel rewards for Aeroplan members during Delta's "We Miss You Already" World Travel Sweepstakes. |
With guaranteed prizes of between 500 and 2,500 bonus miles, one lucky
guest will walk away with the grand prize of one million miles -- the
equivalent of an adventure around the world. There are also two other grand
prizes of 250,000 and 500,000 miles.
In total, 30 million bonus miles will be given away during the
sweepstakes.
Aimed squarely at the frequent business traveller, this marketing
campaign aims to increase Aeroplan member stays at the Canadian hotel chain during the months of February and March. More than 53,000 scratch-and-win cards will be distributed to members checking into any one of Delta's 39 hotels and resorts across Canada during the sweepstakes.
"We especially want to turn people's heads and heighten awareness of our brand during a noisy period," said Ken Lambert, Vice President, Sales and
Marketing. While traditionally slower, the first quarter is a key booking
period for hotels -- and fiercely competitive. The marketplace is steeped with
promotional offers from competing hotel chains.
Created by Toronto-based Garneau Wurstlin Philp Brand Engineering, the
campaign captures the warmth and whimsy of Delta's previous brand advertising.
It will be supported by a 30 second in-flight commercial airing on all
domestic and international Air Canada flights as well as print advertising in
the National Post, the Globe and Mail and Les Affaires.
