Members of Hotel Brokers International (HBI), the nation’s largest brokerage organization with more than 30 offices coast to coast, today announced the organization’s newly elected 2011 board of officers and directors. Joe McCann, CHB, of Optimum Hotel Brokerage will succeed Tony DeGeorge, CHB, of Greene, Canfield, DeGeorge, Ltd. as president.

Joe McCann, CHB, of Optimum Hotel Brokerage will succeed Tony DeGeorge, CHB, of Greene, Canfield, DeGeorge, Ltd. as president.
McCann, president of Philadelphia area based Optimum Hotel Brokerage is a thirty-year hotel industry veteran who has held senior management positions with Hilton and Marriott at their largest and most successful properties. During his hotel brokerage career, he has closed more than $500 Million in hotel asset transactions. McCann also serves as a member of the board of directors of the Penn State Hotel and Restaurant Society. McCann has earned the Certified Hotel Broker with Distinction designation with Hotel Brokers International.
In accepting the chief leadership position of HBI, incoming president McCann shared his vision and goals for the organization. McCann stated, “For more than 50 years, successful lodging investors have relied on the knowledge and expertise of HBI member-brokers. At this phase of the hotel investment cycle, hotel buyers and sellers recognize how crucial timely market information and advice can be to successful lodging transaction. As the market recovers, HBI will continue to be the recognized leader in creating value in hotel transactions.”
