LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 31, 2003--Park Place Entertainment Corporation (NYSE: PPE) Senior Vice President Peter M. George will assume additional responsibility for the company's gaming development activities in the United States, the company announced today.
George currently is responsible for the company's international development efforts and the operation of its international casinos. He also is charged with monitoring regulatory, economic and technological developments involving online gaming.
In his new role, George also will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and initiating development projects in gaming markets within the United States. George's new title is senior vice president for development and managing director of international operations.
Before joining Park Place in 2001, George served as chief executive officer of Hilton Group PLC, formerly Ladbroke Group PLC. He directed the company's extensive gaming, hotel and wagering businesses in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
