  • Hampton Hampton Hotels announced that Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement to introduce the Hampton Inn by Hilton brand’s Latin America prototype to Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico. Scheduled to open later this year, Hampton Inn by Hilton Ciudad del Carmen in the state of Campeche incorporates all the architectural and design elements of the brand’s new model for Latin America. For example, it features “the hub,” a zoned environment that provides the ideal facilities for working, mingling, relaxing or enjoying a free hot breakfast.

“We are delighted that we continue to add a number of architectural and design-focused hotels to our Latin America portfolio,” said Phil Cordell, global head, Hilton focused service and Hampton brand management.  “Our goal is to provide the very best hotel offering to developers and management companies to ensure we add value to them and satisfy every guest 100% of the time, which is a key reason for Hampton Hotels’ continued growth.”

Situated in the TAKIN Parque Corporativo 4 ½ complex, Hampton Inn by Hilton Ciudad del Carmen is just 10 minutes from the airport and located in the northern sector of the city, home to the newest housing developments, businesses and shopping.  The 120-room, six-story property will be the city’s newest hotel and will offer visitors comfortable and contemporary mid-priced accommodation, combined with the quality of the Hampton Inn by Hilton brand.

Daniel Hughes, senior vice president, operations, Caribbean, Mexico, and Latin America, Hilton Worldwide commented, “We are excited to introduce another Hampton Inn by Hilton in Mexico, which is a country that continues to afford us opportunities to grow. Hilton Worldwide has a commitment to expand in Latin America by targeting key markets with our portfolio of brands. This hotel is a testament to our efforts.”

The Ciudad del Carmen hotel will offer a breakfast area, fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, bar and meeting space for guests to enjoy.  The TAKIN Parque Corporativo 4 ½ complex will also feature a seven-story office building, a restaurant and 300 parking spaces.  Both the Hampton Inn by Hilton Ciudad del Carmen and office building will be on track to achieve “Core and Shell” LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) certification.

The Hampton Inn by Hilton Ciudad del Carmen will participate in Hilton HHonors®, the only guest rewards program that allows members to earn Points & Miles® for the same stay and redeem points for free nights with No Blackout Dates at more than 3,600 hotels worldwide.

Hilton Worldwide currently has a portfolio of more than 20 hotels and resorts open and welcoming travelers in Mexico.  The company has eight hotels currently under development throughout the country and continues to actively pursue additional growth opportunities in Mexico.

Logos, product and company names mentioned are the property of their respective owners.
