“The Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort will perfectly complement our existing Radisson Blu Resort, Trysil. We are delighted to further strengthen our presence in our key home market Norway and to also further grow our chic and contemporary resort portfolio”, said Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. The new hotel is developed and built by the company Peab, and owned by Peab and SkiStar in equal parts.

Minutes from the slopes, the resort will comprise 369 rooms, suites and apartments with up to 3 bedrooms, making it the ideal destination for family or friends travelling together. Further services will include a restaurant, a bar, a wellness area including indoor swimming pool, sauna and 12 treatment rooms, and a conference centre with a 425 square meter ballroom as well as with several meeting rooms.

Trysil is located in South-eastern Norway, 2.5 hours drive from Oslo. It is one of Scandinavia’s premier ski resorts and attracts a significant international business. For the non-skier, Trysil offers a first-class golf course, canoeing, fishing, cycling, and hiking in a beautiful nature.

Once the Park Inn Trysil Mountain Resort opens, Rezidor will have 25 hotels in operation or under development in Norway. “6 of those hotels are Park Inn by Radisson properties. With Radisson Blu already present in nearly every primary and secondary Norwegian city, our growth strategy is now heavily focused on Park Inn by Radisson”, ended Ritter.
