Hotel Riu Park El Kebir, Tunisia to Be Re-branded As Park Inn Hammamet and Open in Q2 2012

  • Park Inn The existing Hotel Riu Park El Kebir will be re-branded as Park Inn Hammamet and open in Q2 2012 following a full renovation. It will be Rezidor’s third hotel in the country – the group is already operating the Park Inn Ulysse Resort & Thalasso and the award winning Radisson Blu Resort & Thalasso in Djerba.

    “We are delighted to further strengthen our presence in Tunisia and to come to Hammamet – one of North Africa’s first and most popular resort destinations”, said Kurt Ritter, President & CEO of Rezidor. “It is a pleasure for us to start our cooperation with the CARTE insurance group which owns the new hotel, and we look forward to further joint projects”, added Ritter.

    Hammamet is located at the Mediterranean cost, just 60 kilometres away from the capital city Tunis. The new Park Inn Hammamet will feature a 300 metres beachfront, 4 outdoor- and 1 indoor swimming pools. Further leisure offers will comprise 4 tennis courts, 2 kids’ clubs and an extensive Thalasso Spa. 4 restaurants – including a Tunisian speciality restaurant – will pamper every palate, and 3 bars will be the perfect spots for a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. Business guests will benefit from 600 square metres meeting space and a ballroom with 500 square metres.

    Besides 273 comfortable and colourful guest rooms and suites the Park Inn Hammamet will also offer 63 villas making it an ideal destination for families or friends travelling together.
