WICHITA, Kan., April 29 Wisconsin's second Candlewood Suites has opened in Appleton. The property is owned by WCA Hotels, LLC under a licensed agreement with Candlewood Hotel Company, and will be managed by CWS Management Company, LLC.
Both companies also own and manage the Candlewood Suites in Green Bay, which opened in July 2000. Corrigan's Custom Built Structures is overseeing the construction of the hotel, which is located at the intersection of U.S. 41 and College Avenue, approximately five minutes from Outagamie County Regional Airport and Fox River Mall.
All Candlewood Suites properties offer larger-than-average guest suites that cater to the special needs of long-term guests, including a complete kitchen with full-sized appliances, 25-inch TV, large business desk, adjustable executive chair, two phone lines with data port and low-cost long distance. The Appleton property will also feature high-speed Internet access in every room, a complimentary business center and two meeting rooms. In addition, guests have access to free laundry facilities, free video and CD library and the Candlewood Cupboard -- a 24-hour honor-based pantry with food and sundries at grocery store prices.
Kari Heier will serve as director of sales and Scott Biggar will be the general manager of the new Appleton hotel. Both Heier and Biggar will also continue to hold the same positions in the Green Bay location.
Candlewood Hotel Company (OTC Bulletin Board: CNDL - News) owns, operates and licenses Candlewood Suites, and operates and licenses Cambridge Suites.
