  • Hotel News Resource Marriott’s Edwin Fuller Kicked-off Inaugural Presentation - Nearly 100 hospitality industry leaders attended the first Kendall College international speaker series event earlier this month.

“Global Hospitality Spotlight: A Speaker Series” was the theme of the international hospitality speaker series, sponsored by the Kendall College School of Hospitality Management in partnership with HOTELSMagazine. The event featured keynote speaker Edwin Fuller, president and managing director, International Lodging Division, Marriott International, Inc., who shared his insights on the critical issues facing the hospitality industry.  The event concluded with a question and answer session moderated by Jeff Weinstein, editor-in-chief of HOTELS Magazine.

“We are thrilled with the response and industry participation,” said School of Hospitality Management Dean Jeffrey Catrett. “Our goal was to bring together industry thought leaders to analyze and discuss the trends and issues facing our unique industry. Mr. Fuller led attendees in a dynamic discussion, and we look forward to hosting future lecture series with other influential industry speakers.”

The event was streamed live over the Web to nine of Kendall College’s sister schools around the world, including campuses in Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Portugal and Spain.  The lecture is currently available for viewing on the Kendall College Web site at
