Affinia Hospitality Names Rose Genovese Vice President Of Sales And Marketing |
|
NEW YORK – May 12, 2003 – Rose Genovese has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Affinia Hospitality, announced the company’s Managing Director Dan Denihan. |
In this new position, Genovese will lead the Affinia Sales Team through the re-branding of the company. She will focus on building a synergized direct sales effort, integrating marketing into sales to help expand the new brand. Genovese will also work to ensure that the sales team of over 20 members has the tools they need to compete in the New York marketplace.
A 20-year veteran of the New York hospitality industry, Genovese most recently served a four-year term as director of marketing for The Regent Wall Street, where she was part of the executive opening team for the property in 1999. During her tenure she developed and executed the marketing plan and managed direct sales and public relations. At this time, she was actively involved in a number of committees and associations to help revitalize business in lower Manhattan such as Wall Street Rising and the Downtown Alliance. Prior to her position at The Regent, Genovese was the global membership director for Club Quarters, where she was responsible for the global sales effort and all marketing functions for the company. She has also held various positions at Le Parker Meridien for 10 years, the last of which was director of marketing.
“Genovese is well known and respected in the hotel industry,” commented Denihan, in making the announcement. “With her extensive experience in marketing and her proven record in sales, we feel she’s the perfect person to help Affinia become a more marketing-driven company. We believe she will continue to strengthen our team and be an asset to
our company.”
Genovese is involved with many professional associations, including the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International, where she served as president for two terms and currently sits on the Past Presidents Board. A native New Yorker, Rose loves to travel and enjoys cooking in her spare time.
Affinia’s agencies of record are Manhattan Marketing Ensemble for direct marketing and advertising and Redpoint Marketing PR, Inc. for public relations.
With nine hotels, more than 2,000 rooms, and 1,000 employees, Affinia Hospitality, a distinctive collection of luxury and business suite hotels, is New York’s largest all-suite hotel company.
