Tour brings the beers of Ireland and two exclusive offerings to beer lovers and Old Chicagos World Beer Tour members
Old Chicago – the made-from-scratch American fare, pizza and beer authority known for its “World Beer Tour” and 110 unique, cold beers – launched its annual St. Patrick’s Day Mini Beer Tour today, Wednesday, Feb. 22, to help beer lovers celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, the biggest beer drinking holiday in the world. The St. Pat’s Mini Tour runs through Sunday, March 18, and features eight specialty beers, including guest favorites from Guinness, Killian’s, Smithwick’s and O’Hara’s. Old Chicago’s World Beer Tour members who complete the St. Pat’s Mini Tour by sampling all eight beers will receive the highly coveted Mini Tour T-shirt with a new St. Pat’s design chosen by Old Chicago’s loyal guests.
The St. Pat’s Mini Tour celebrations kick off today with tapping parties at each of the restaurant chain’s nearly 100 locations nationwide. Some Old Chicago guests will have the opportunity to try the Old Chicago Bitter Leprechaun ESB made exclusively for Old Chicago and available at many, but not all, locations.. This beer is a classic ESB with the deep, rich golden color of a pot o’ gold, providing just enough British caramel malt and Fuggle hops to make any Irishman bitter. Colorado Old Chicago guests will be able to try another exclusive beer, the AC Golden India Pale Lager (IPL), an intensely bittered beer balanced by toasted malts to create a hop lover's dream with a big hop aroma and surprisingly clean finish. These exclusive beers will be available at select locations only while supplies last, so guests should hurry in to try them.
“We love the St. Pat’s Mini Tour at Old Chicago because it allows our guests to celebrate their passion for beer during the most popular beer drinking holiday in the world,” said Mark Newman, director of beverage for Old Chicago. “We’re excited to bring some classic Irish brews to the tour, along with the Bitter Leprechaun ESB, brewed exclusively for Old Chicago for the second year in a row and sure to make everyone who tastes it feel the luck of the Irish.”
