WASHINGTON, Marriott International, Inc. [NYSE: MAR] announced today that the Hyatt at University Village in downtown Chicago was re-flagged as the Chicago Marriott Downtown at Medical District/UIC.
The 114-room hotel is located at 625 South Ashland Avenue at Harrison Street, adjacent to the University of Illinois at Chicago and Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center. The property will operate as a Marriott franchise and is owned by a partnership consisting of Chick Hill of Memphis, Tenn., and Crow Holdings, a Dallas, Texas-based real estate investment group. Davidson Hotel Company will manage the hotel.

Due to the hotel's downtown location, guests will enjoy convenient access to many famous Chicago attractions, including Little Italy, Lincoln Park Zoo, Chinatown and Greektown.
