With a faster and more accurate search engine in place, federal per diem rate hotels can be queried by location and amenities through a quick and seamless reservation process. Tens of thousands of contracted hotels are listed within the U.S. and Global inventory, most of which are available at or below 2013 Federal GSA Per Diem Rates for official travel.
Online booking can be completed within minutes and travelers are able to make reservations using a government travel card or personal credit card based on the traveler's preference of placing a hotel reservation on the government card or on a personal credit card to retain any bonus miles or rewards points received from the booking. Travel itinerary can be easily checked and accessed through the site at any time.
As the U.S. government expands civil service job positions by reducing contracted positions, the need for stateside Government Travelhas remained steady over the last three years.
