  • Benefit Inn Innovative New Revenue Channel Offers Employee Travel Benefit

Benefit Inn, the innovative travel program that gives independent hotel employees – and their family and friends – the opportunity to stay at other properties within the network at employee room rates, today announced that three prestigious Sonesta Hotels have joined their network.

With their membership, which is available to all independent hotels at no charge for the first year, the Royal Sonesta – Boston, Royal Sonesta – New Orleans and Sonesta Bayfront Hotel in Coconut Grove, FL are now able to compete for industry talent by offering this highly valued benefit to their employees. Not only do members reward their own employees, they will also increase their revenue by offering excess inventory to employees of other independent hotels.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Sonesta Hotels to Benefit Inn,” said Scott Frothingham, Benefit Inn Founder and CEO. “With their focus on quality service and employee engagement, the Sonesta collection is a perfect fit for Benefit Inn.”

The Sonesta Hotels join other exclusive Benefit Inn members that include:

    • The Chatham Bars Inn, Chatham, MA
    • PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens, FL
    • Hotel Madeline, Telluride, CO
    • The Inn on Fifth, Naples, FL
    • The MAve Hotel, New York, NY
    • The Moonrise Hotel, St. Louis, MO
    • The Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina, Ft. Myers Beach, FL
    • Porto Vista Hotel, San Diego, CA
    • South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, Temecula, CA
A full list of members may be found on Benefit Inn’s website, where hotels interested in becoming a Benefit Inn member can easily join online.

    About Benefit Inn

Benefit Inn was founded by a family with deep roots in the hospitality industry. The company founders have held leadership positions in every aspect of hotel management: revenue management, human resources, rooms division, food & beverage and sales & marketing.

We know that hotel employees work hard. And we believe that, when it’s time for a vacation, one of the benefits of working in our industry should be discounted travel to lots of great destinations. For years, the major chains have offered their employees (and their friends and families) discounted rooms at their properties around the world. Small chains and independent hotels haven’t been able to compete in offering this same benefit to their employees…until now.
