The top three investment markets for 2013 include Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa. Other highly desirable real estate investment markets include Downtown Vancouver and the Greater Toronto Area.
The Canadian hotel real estate market performed strongly in 2012, which we estimate as surpassing 2011’s $1.1 billion — the best performance for deal flows since the cyclical highs experienced in 2007/2008.
