Comfort Suites Antioch-Oakley Named 2003 Outstanding Lodging Property Owner and Operator

  • California Lodging Industry Association SACRAMENTO – The California Lodging Industry Association - CLIA – is pleasedto name the Comfort Suites Antioch-Oakley as the 2003 Outstanding Lodging Property.The Comfort Suites Antioch-Oakley is owned by Ramesh Patel of Sonora and managedby American Hotels, Inc. of Palo Alto. Both Patel and American Hotels are activeCLIA members.

    The Comfort Suites Antioch-Oakley opened in June of 2003 as the first lodging propertyin the city of Oakley. Local community leaders actively supported the construction andopening of the Comfort Suites, and are putting its extensive meeting facilities to gooduse.
    Reflecting the uniqueness of the surrounding delta region, the Comfort Suites Antioch-Oakley is designed in a nautical theme. Fabrics, artwork, and other furnishings conveythe refreshing delta theme throughout the hotel. This nautical décor helps to create therelaxing atmosphere of a comfortable waterside resort.
    The all-suite hotel was also built with both the business and leisure travelers in mind.Battery-chargers are located in the oversized parking lot for leisure travelers, while all80 suites feature complimentary high-speed internet access, linking travelers to theiroffices at home. The hotel also offers a variety individualized specialty suites, eachnamed in recognition of a great ship or marine rank. Each specialty suite is unique inthe amenities offered, but many include fireplaces, whirlpools and four-poster beds.

    The Comfort Suites Antioch-Oakley will be recognized and awarded the OutstandingLodging Property Excellence Award at the Tailgate Brunch Awards Celebration andAnnual Membership Meeting in Ontario, California on September 7, 2003.
