WASHINGTON – Aug. 19, 2003 – Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced today that the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center Dallas/Plano – Legacy Town Center in Plano, Texas, has been re-flagged as the Marriott Dallas/Plano at Legacy Town Center.
The 404-room hotel, located at 7120 Dallas Parkway, was recently purchased by CNL Hospitality Properties Inc. of Orlando, Fla., and will be managed by Marriott International.
Situated north of Dallas in the 2,665-acre master-planned “Legacy” business community, the Marriott Dallas/Plano at Legacy Town Center is approximately 23 miles from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport and 20 miles from Dallas Love Field Airport. The property anchors the newly developed Legacy Town Center and is adjacent to the Shops at Legacy, featuring sidewalk cafés, shops and parks. The hotel is also convenient to many area companies, including the world headquarters for EDS, J.C. Penney Corporation Inc., Frito-Lay Company, Countrywide Home Loans, Dr. Pepper/Seven Up Inc., Computer Associates, Southwestern Legal Foundation and others.
