Global technology company Sabre (www.sabre.com) has signed a long-term agreement with Transhotel (www.transhotel.com), one of the world leading hotel aggregators in the travel and tourism industry. The new agreement will see Sabre and Transhotel integrate improved and additional hotel content into TotalTrip, Sabre's e-commerce hotel platform used by thousands of agents in Latin America and the Caribbean to shop, book and pre-pay for hotels.
The expanded hotel content provides agents connected to the Sabre travel marketplace across the region the ability to efficiently shop for rooms, including featured properties in European destinations. This agreement also means that Transhotel partner hotels will benefit from TotalTrip's booking capabilities, to display their real-time availability and take advantage of multiple forms of payments available for agencies managing leisure and business travel.
"Our agreement will leverage the combined strengths of Sabre and Transhotel to provide their partner hotels with extended reach to Latin American travellers while delivering Sabre-connected agencies more choice and an easy way to shop and book European-based hotel content, catering to almost every traveler's needs," said Roberto Rosales Santiago, general manager for Sabre's TotalTrip.
Jose Ignacio de Oca, commercial director for the Americas and APAC, Transhotel, highlighted the benefits of the joint expertise: "Transhotel continues to strengthen its position within Latin America, which is in line with its global business strategy. Sabre's TotalTrip, a leading e-commerce hotel platform has assumed an important role regarding distribution into the area. In addition to strengthening our hotel partners' business, agents will have access to an additional 60,000 world class properties commercialised by Transhotel via an efficient and well established tool, which is highly regarded by travel agents worldwide."
Part of the Sabre marketplace, TotalTrip offers the broadest hotel inventory for agents in Latin America. Its options include hundreds of thousands of properties brought by aggregation deals with Travelocity, Tourico Holidays, HotelBeds, GTA, HotelDo and BestDay, Trend Operadora, and Destinations of the World.
