Al Balizado named Central Region National Sales Manager for Hawthorn Suites Brand
ATLANTA (Sept. 17, 2003) - Hawthorn Suites has recently hired Al Balizado as a National Sales Manager for the extended-stay hotel brand. In his new position, Balizado will be responsible for working with Fortune 500 corporations and national travel consortia located in the central region of the U.S.
"I am confident that Al's experience in the lodging industry and ability to create room night opportunities will prove beneficial to the Hawthorn brand," says Faye Deloso, Vice President of Hawthorn National Sales. "His ability to form strong relationships with clients will definitely be an asset to our organization."
His previous hotel sales experience includes national level corporate sales, as well as serving as director of sales for extended-stay brands such as
Mainstay Suites and Candlewood Suites. He has also worked in operations
for Marriott and Wyndham hotels. Balizado attended Northern Arizona University and holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Administration. He will be based out of Phoenix, AZ.
