Aloft Dalian Opens in Northeast China

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) announced the debut of its sizzling Aloft® brand in Dalian, the financial center and leading port city of northeast China.

Aloft Hotels Owned by Dalian Yifang Group Co., Ltd., which also owns The Castle Hotel, A Luxury Collection Hotel Dalian, Aloft Dalian is the sixth Aloft hotel to open in China, featuring 314 spacious, loft-like rooms, an urban design aesthetic, live music performances, and an active social scene.

Aloft Dalian is conveniently located on a bustling, commercial street lined with banks, hotels, restaurants and recreational facilities. Walking distance to the city’s main luxury shopping mall and the harbor passenger terminal, the hotel is just a 20-minute drive from Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport (DLC). Aloft Dalian also offers easy access to the city’s many attractions and beaches including Tiger Beach, Golden Pebble Beach and Bangchuidao Scenic Area.

Commonly referred to as the “Hong Kong of the North,” Dalian is the financial center of northeast China as well as “The City of Romance” and the “International Garden City” due to its clean air, beautiful beaches and inspiring scenery. Every year, this increasingly popular tourist destination hosts crowd-drawing events such as the Dalian International Fashion Festival and the Dalian International Beer Festival. Visitors also enjoy a range of cuisine, and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. In an effort to attract more foreign visitors, Dalian is the sixth Mainland city and first northeastern city to introduce a 72-hour visa-free stay.

Nook, the hotel’s signature all-day dining restaurant, serves up international delights as well as renowned local seafood dishes. Additional facilities include more than 1,000 square meters of meeting space, including a grand ballroom of 500 square meters and five Tactic meeting rooms in a range of sizes. Plus, as part of Aloft brand’s recent partnership with MTV Asia, Aloft travelers will be able to check out some of the latest happenings on its new online platform, www.mtvasia.com/aloftlive that will promote artists performing at Aloft hotels across China, India, Malaysia and Thailand.

To celebrate its opening, Aloft Dalian is introducing a special introductory rate of RMB368 per night, which includes daily breakfast at Nook restaurant, complimentary in-room wired Internet and Wi-Fi access, late check-out until 2pm and a welcome drink upon check-in.
