  • Pegasus HubX expands its capabilities by signing with Pegasus for GDS and ADS Distribution

NEWTON, Mass. and DALLAS (October 8, 2003) – HubX inc., a leader in technology solutions for the hospitality industry, has signed a multi-year deal with Pegasus Solutions for GDS Distribution and ADS Distribution, utilizing Pegasus’ switch to connect with global distribution systems (GDS) and other Internet travel services.

Under this agreement, hubX will offer its hotels and resorts a complete connectivity solution, from PMS and CRS integration, all the way to seamless connectivity to online sales channels. By utilizing the Pegasus Electronic Distribution Switch, hubX hotels will have their inventory enabled on all major GDSs where travel agents can book rooms seamlessly. Introduced by Pegasus after the company’s founding in 1989, the switch processes GDS and Internet hotel reservations for more than 200 brands, representing 44,000 hotels.

In addition, hubX will connect to the Pegasus online distribution environment to distribute room inventory, rates and information to Internet sites. HubX properties will be included in Pegasus’ Online Distribution Database of approximately 45,000 hotels worldwide, which feeds detailed information and more than 75,000 images to the thousands of Web sites that are Powered By Pegasus™.

Said Mike Murray, president and CEO of hubX: “We have always had a great relationship with Pegasus and by utilizing its electronic distribution capabilities, we can offer our hotels a significant increase in their online bookings. In addition, Pegasus is great to work with and we look forward to our continued relationship and implementing these new services over the next few months.”

Bob Boles, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Pegasus Solutions, said: “We’re pleased to expand our ever-growing Online Distribution Database with information from hubX properties.
