World Travel Awards —The gala award ceremony/10 year celebration took place at the Plaza New York on October 13th. This prestigious award originated in 1993 to acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the world’s travel and tourism industry. |
Voting is cast in over 200 countries around the world. The awards are then distributed based on regional geographical categories then broken down from the Whole World category into eight smaller areas - Africa, Asia/Pacific, Caribbean, Central & Latin America, Europe, Middle East, North America and South America, making the awards granted the most comprehensive travel award in the world.
