The O’Brien Historic Hotel, located at 116 Navarro Street in the heart of downtown San Antonio and just four blocks from the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center and less than a block from the Riverwalk, is now open as a “Clarion Collection” hotel. |
The “Clarion Collection” is franchised by Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH), one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors. This brand extension of the upscale Clarion brand features unique, historic or boutique hotels that have strong local recognition and unique designs or features.
“The O’Brien Historic Hotel is a welcome addition to the Clarion Collection,” said Michael J. Ludden, senior director and brand manager, Clarion Brand Hotels. “This unique, historic hotel has upscale room amenities and hotel features and bears all the distinctive hallmarks of the Clarion Collection line.”
The O’Brien Historic Hotel, a Clarion Collection, features 39 rooms. Each room has 25-inch cable TV, in-room coffee maker, two telephones with dataport, high-speed internet access, voice mail, iron, ironing board, bathrobes, CD player, complimentary overnight shoe shine and complimentary USA Today. Hotel features include Jacuzzi and whirlpool baths, nightly turndown service, fax and copy service. Some rooms feature high ceilings, antique baths and balconies.
Room rates start at $109 and include a complimentary full continental breakfast featuring fresh waffles, pastries, bagels, cereal, fruit, juice, flavored coffees, hot chocolate and assorted teas.
The O’Brien Historic Hotel, a Clarion Collection, is located near the Alamo, Alamodome, Market Square, El Mercado, SBC Center and River Center Mall.
