  • Comfort Inn LONE PINE, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2003) - A Comfort Inn hotel recently opened at 1920 South Maine Street.

    Formerly known as the Alabama Hills Inn hotel, the Comfort Inn hotel completed a $500,000 renovation that included new furniture, carpet, paint and wall coverings throughout the hotel, and the addition of new 27-inch remote control televisions to guestrooms.

    Owned and operated by LP Investment Group of Lone Pine, Calif., the Comfort Inn hotel features 58-units with a microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker, remote-controlled cable television, computer data port, iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Some rooms also feature a desk and balcony. Handicapped and non-smoking rooms are available.

    The Comfort Inn hotel features an outdoor pool, seated breakfast area and guest laundry services.

    Guests of the Comfort Inn hotel receive a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast; complimentary USA TODAY newspaper; and free local telephone calls.

    Rates begin at $69.95. Children, ages 18 and under, stay for free when accompanied by an adult.

    Discounts are available when booked in advance on a space-available basis for seniors, American Automobile Association members, business travelers, government and military personnel and groups.
    The Comfort Inn hotel is situated close to the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains and is only minutes from Mount Whitney and Alabama Hills.
