AH&LA Debuts Comprehensive Online Guide Featuring Top U.S. Lodging Suppliers |
|
Washington, Dec. 8, 2003—The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) recently debuted the online version of its highly acclaimed Allied Buyers Guide, a printed listing of the top suppliers and vendors in the lodging industry. |
Via the organization’s Web site, www.ahla.com, the comprehensive resource features hundreds of merchants who provide hotel properties with products and services in construction and renovation, environmental control, food and beverage, furnishings, operations, security, telecommunications, and much more.
Through a news feed-based partnership with Hsyndicate, members can search and retrieve detailed information on AH&LA allied members by product category, news announcements, interviews, articles, etc. In addition, each listing is updated consistently and contains the company’s contact information, including the address, phone and fax numbers, and Web site and e-mail addresses.
“This channel provides our member suppliers access to an audience that may have gone unnoticed for a multitude of reasons. This connectivity in today’s shifting business environment, allows them to affordably market and sell their products. This alliance also an addition to AH&LA’s extensive set of member benefits,” said AH&LA President and CEO Joseph A. McInerney, CHA.
Additionally, the site’s interactive component allows the merchants to receive and respond to requests for proposals from hoteliers as well as other potential buyers. It also specifies a company’s various offerings in a 150-word description as well as any current discounts and specials.
“The extension of our alliance with AH&LA forms an important milestone for Hsyndicate’s growing presence in the hospitality industry,” said Hsyndicate CEO Henri Roelings. “AH&LA’s Allied Buyers Guide also represents a unique additional channel for many of Hsyndicate’s existing clients.”

AH&LA is a 93 year-old federation of state lodging associations throughout the United States with some 11,000 property members nationwide, representing more than 1.5 million guestrooms. AH&LA provides its members with assistance in operations, education, communications, and lobbies on Capitol Hill to provide a business climate in which the industry can continue to prosper. Individual state associations provide representation at the state level and offer many additional cost-saving benefits.
