SRS-WORLDHOTELS welcomes three new members in Asia's booming city centers |
|
Frankfurt / Main, December 15, 2003. Global sales, marketing and distribution organization SRS-WORLDHOTELS welcomes three new member hotels to its growing Asian portfolio. |
These include properties in Xiamen and Shenzhen in the People's Republic of China, as well as in Tokyo, Japan. With these latest additions, travelers to the Far East can now choose from a selection of 15 luxury SRS-WORLDHOTELS member properties in China and seven in Japan.
China
The ultra-modern Xiamen Mandarin Seaside Hotel, created by famous Canadian architectural institute B+H, is located in the coastal town of Xiamen, at the south of the Chinese province Fujian. The hotel comprises 206 elegantly decorated rooms, 126 of which include spacious balconies that afford guests a splendid, direct view of Taiwan's Little Quemoy island, just four kilometers away.
The hotel is particularly attractive for corporations and business travelers, thanks to its affiliation with the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. At the same time, it offers many amenities for the leisure traveler, including access to a variety of spa services, sauna and fitness facilities at the Heath Club. Excellent dining at the hotel's four restaurants also contribute to making a visit here a memorable experience.
Over the past few years, the former fishing village of Shenzhen, approximately 50 kilometers north of Hong Kong, has developed into one of the most modern cities in contemporary China. The city's Landmark Hotel Shenzhen, a Deluxe Collection member since the beginning of October, is conveniently located at the heart of the shopping and business district. Its 351 guest rooms and suites occupy the building's 14th to 27th floors, with the 23rd through 27th floors devoted to Cathay Pacific Club rooms.
The Landmark caters to business travelers, offering them serene surroundings and a host of amenities and services designed to make their visit hassle-free. It offers a variety of seminar rooms for conferences and other gatherings. After a hard day's work, guests enjoy complimentary use of the hotel's well-equipped Health Club, which includes a swimming pool, steam bath, dry sauna and weight training equipment. They may also opt for a relaxing full body or reflexology massage. And guests can count on the finest cuisine from the hotel restaurant, which serves both international and local specialties.
The Jazz Bar is the perfect place to bring the evening to a pleasant close. It features live performances by international blues and jazz singers and an excellent selection of beer from the hotel's own brewery. Passengers traveling on Southern China Airline may avoid waiting in line at the airport by using the hotel lobby check-in service, where they are provided with a valid boarding pass.
Japan
The Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo, which is both the flagship and newest property within the Japanese Dai-ichi hotel group, is one of Tokyo's premier landmarks. Built in 1938, the hotel is close to the old royal palace in the elegant Ginza district, which became quite famous during the 1960s. The hotel's interior offers guests a European ambience, expressed in tasteful furnishings and lavishly decorated marble floors gracing the entrance hall. The 21-story hotel offers 277 hotel rooms, ranging from standard rooms to luxurious suites with marble bathrooms and every possible comfort. Twelve different restaurants take guests on a culinary journey reaching from Europe to Asia. This hotel is a member of the Deluxe Collection.
The Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo, formerly of The Leading Hotels of the World, joins SRS-WORLDHOTELS' Deluxe Collection.
