Park Inn Opens Three Hotels in Scandinavia |
|
Park Inn, the growing mid-market hotel brand of Rezidor SAS Hospitality, has opened three hotels in Scandinavia – in Copenhagen, Denmark; Stavanger, Norway and Jönköping, Sweden. |
This marks the brand’s first hotels in Denmark and Norway, and its sixteenth hotel in Sweden.
The Park Inn Copenhagen Airport is located just a short drive from the airport, within walking distance to the beach and a ten-minute drive from the city center. Formerly known as the Radisson SAS Globetrotter, the hotel offers 191 rooms and six suites, all equipped with high-speed Internet access. Other facilities include a newly-renovated restaurant and bar as well as a fitness center with aerobic and strength training equipment, swimming pool and massage rooms.
The hotel’s well-equipped conference center includes ten meeting rooms with high-speed Internet access and video conferencing capabilities as well as ten breakout rooms. The hotel can host conferences and events accommodating up to 400 attendees.
The Park Inn Stavanger, formerly known as the Radisson SAS Globetrotter Hotel, recently underwent an extensive renovation of the lobby, the restaurant and the bar.
Located just a short walk from the city center and just nine miles from the airport, the hotel offers 208 rooms, including both standard rooms and business-friendly rooms, which offer a comfortable working area and a dataport. Other facilities includes saunas on the top floor and parking facilities. A sports and fitness club and a golf course are close to the hotel.
The hotel’s meeting facilities include 11 meeting rooms, accommodating up to 280 people, all with natural daylight.
The newly-constructed Park Inn Jönköping is located in the heart of the city, just two miles from the airport. Jönköping is located approximately 160 miles southwest of Stockholm.
The Park Inn Jönköping offers 70 rooms and two suites, all equipped with wireless Internet access and wireless keyboards for television Internet access. Other facilities include a relaxation room and a sauna, as well as a nightclub and a casino. The newly-built restaurant, “Harry’s,” offers an international menu and has a wide range of wines, whiskies and cigars.
The meeting facilities include three function rooms, accommodating between 100 and 250 people. The meeting rooms are equipped with the latest high-tech equipment and wireless Internet access.
Fredrik Korallus, senior vice president & COO of franchised operations for Rezidor SAS Hospitality, comments: “I am excited about the introduction of Park Inn in Norway and Denmark and the continued rapid growth of the brand in Scandinavia.”
