Delta Hotels Flag Rises in Fredericton |
|
The Delta Hotels flag is now flying at the Delta Fredericton, the largest hotel in New Brunswick's capital city. |
Owned and managed by CHIP Hospitality, the conversion of the Delta Fredericton is expected to increase leisure and business travel to the city by capitalizing on the strong network of Delta properties throughout Atlantic Canada and across the country.
"While our name may be changing, Fredericton and all our guests can look forward to the continued tradition of outstanding hospitality, fine dining and community involvement that they have come to expect from the employees of this landmark city hotel," said Ian Hurst, general manager of Delta Fredericton.
Delta Fredericton becomes the eighth Delta hotel in Atlantic Canada and the third in New Brunswick, joining the Delta Beauséjour in Moncton and the Delta Brunswick in Saint John.
"The addition of this well-respected hotel and its team cements Delta's reputation as the leading first-class hotel brand in the Atlantic provinces," said John Pye, president, Delta Hotels. "It is also another successful example of our longstanding relationship with CHIP Hospitality; a company that shares our customer service philosophies."
"This move to the Delta brand gives us a wider range of marketing opportunities regionally and nationally," said Alasdair Douglas, CHIP Hospitality's vice president of marketing and business development. "Delta has a well-established and loyal client base and these travellers can now add Fredericton to the list of cities ready to welcome them."
The 222-room hotel is located in the heart of Fredericton, just minutes from commercial and government activity. Rooms offer spectacular views of the St. John River, and riverfront walking trails lead past historic homes to distinctive art galleries, museums and craft boutiques. The hotel is also close to the legislative buildings and the University of New Brunswick. The hotel's extensive conference facilities include 10 meeting rooms totaling 13,000 square feet, accommodating groups up to 870 delegates. Full audio-visual, banquet and catering facilities are available.
In addition to its new signage, the hotel has recently completed significant renovations to guest rooms, including the introduction of Delta's Signature Club. All rooms now offer deluxe pillow-top beds for the ultimate in comfort and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Updated amenities in the hotel rooms and hallways also refresh its contemporary appeal.
The Delta Fredericton offers Delta's signature guest recognition program, Delta Privilege. Membership in the program offers many popular benefits, including the unparalleled One Minute Check-In Guarantee, promising a free first night if check-in takes longer than one minute, free local calls, no access 1-800 charges and a dedicated concierge service, available to members 24-hours, coast-to-coast. The Delta Fredericton will also continue to offer Aeroplan reward points to customers for all visits.
The hotel has earned a prestigious four Green Leaf designation, the highest rating of all New Brunswick hotels participating in the Hotel Association of Canada's Green Leaf(TM) Eco-rating program. The program rates hotels from one-to-five Green Leafs based on an independently certified checklist of environmental best practices.
CHIP Hospitality also owns and manages five other hotels in Atlantic Canada and three other Delta hotels including Delta Edmonton South, Delta Montréal, and Delta Québec.
