|
Guests contracting hepatitis, over-served bar patrons, and the use of CCTVs and AEDs, continue to be issues for the hospitality industry. |
These concerns - plus franchise relationships, mixed-use lodging development and others - will be addressed at the 2nd Annual Hospitality Law Conference on Jan. 22 - 23, 2004 at the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management.
"Many issues impact our industry worldwide from employment to operations," said Stephen Barth, attorney, event co-chair and professor at the Hilton College, and founder of HospitalityLawyer.com. "This conference not only updates the law but also provides general counsel, legal practitioners, risk managers, safety and security directors, hospitality executives and law faculty an opportunity to learn from one another." -- The advisory board included: Peter Kilgore - General Counsel, National Restaurant Association -- Kris Schloemer - Corporate Counsel, Best Western International -- Roger Thomson - General Counsel, Brinker International -- Kenneth Siegel - General Counsel, Starwood Hotels & Resorts
