Cendant Chooses Monster to Provide Online Recruiting for Hotels |
|
Cendant Corporation’s Hotel Group today announced that it has selected Monster®, the leading global online careers site, as the exclusive online recruiting service for Cendant hotel franchisees. |
The agreement will allow franchisees of Cendant’s Ramada®, Days Inn®, Super 8®, Wingate Inn®, Travelodge®, Howard Johnson®, AmeriHost Inn®, Knights Inn® and Villager brands to post full- and part-time job listings, access Monster’s database of job-seekers and utilize Monster’s FastWeb career services, which help match part-time openings with candidates who live nearby. These services also allow franchisees to create custom questions that candidates are asked to complete prior to applying for a position. The answers are then scored and ranked, saving time for the hiring managers, who can access the most qualified candidates.
According to Monster, Cendant is the first major lodging franchisor to offer franchisees an online recruiting service designed specifically for seasonal hiring, new hotels and high-turnover locations.
“Our franchisees seek qualified and motivated candidates for full- and part-time jobs in their hotels,” said Doug Patterson, Hotel Group executive vice president and chief operating officer. “With Monster as a Preferred Alliance provider, our franchisees will be able to access a large number of applicants while filtering applicants, thus saving time and improving their cost per hire.”
Steve Pogorzelski, president of Monster, North America, said his company’s services will “positively impact the time, cost and quality associated with finding qualified candidates for openings.”
Cendant Corporation’s Hotel Group, based in Parsippany, N.J., is the world’s largest lodging franchisor with 6,432 open hotels representing 523,635 rooms on five continents under the Super 8®, Days Inn®, Ramada®, Travelodge®, Howard Johnson®, Knights Inn®, Villager, Wingate Inn® and AmeriHost Inn® brands. Cendant’s franchised hotels sell one out of every four economy and midpriced room-nights in the United States, and Cendant franchises 11.8 percent of the entire U.S. hotel room supply, according to Smith Travel Research. All hotels are individually owned and operated under franchise agreements with Cendant subsidiaries.
