The Canadian hotel industry reported mixed results in the three key performance metrics during the week of 23-29 August 2015, according to data from STR, Inc.

In year-over-year comparisons, occupancy decreased 5.3% to 75.2%. Average daily rate for the week was up 3.8% to CAD$148.93. Revenue per available room decreased 1.6% to CAD$112.00.

Among the provinces, New Brunswick experienced the largest increase in occupancy, up 4.8% to 78.6%.

British Columbia reported the largest increases in ADR (+10.7% to CAD$177.89) and RevPAR (+10.1% to CAD$145.52). Occupancy in the province decreased 0.5% to 81.7%.

Alberta saw the largest declines in occupancy (-18.9% to 64.5%) and RevPAR (-18.1% to CAD$101.37).

Prince Edward Island reported the largest drop in ADR, down 5.2% to CAD$151.64.
