Sol Meliá Opens Its First Hotel In Puerto Rico |
|
Sol Meliá has announced the scheduled opening in March, 2004, of its first hotel in Puerto Rico. |
The new hotel will make it 13 Latin American and Caribbean countries in which the hotel company operates 80 hotels, also making it the leading hotel chain in the region.
After an investment by Sol Meliá of 140 million dollars in its construction, the luxury facilities and magnificent location of the new Paradisus Puerto Rico make it one of the most exceptional hotels in the whole of the Caribbean. After its inauguration, the Paradisus Puerto Rico will immediately enter the exclusive club of “The Leading Hotels of the World”, a club to which a further 7 Sol Meliá hotels already belong.
The Paradisus Puerto Rico enjoys a magnificent location in the Miquillo Peninsula (Río Grande), very near the Caribbean National Park, better known as El Yunque. 500 suites located in low-rise luxury bungalows blend in perfectly with the natural environment creating the most beautiful and elegant of settings.
The Paradisus brand is used for Sol Meliá’s 5 star All Inclusive Eco-Resorts, in this case including an extensive range of dining facilities, with 6 themed restaurants and 4 bars, as well as a full programme of sports and entertainment activities in and around the 2 swimming pools, 3 tennis courts, Health and Beauty Centre, children’s club and water sports centre, amongst others.
For golf fans, of which there are many amongst the American public, the Paradisus Puerto Rico provides two exclusive 18-hole golf courses designed by Tom Kite and Bruce Besse.
