Patrick Certion and Sylvia Cooper have been awarded the InterContinental Hotels Group scholarship at the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management at the University of Memphis.
"Both Patrick and Sylvia are deserving recipients and I am confident that both of them will have bright futures in the hospitality industry. The scholarship is one portion of the support announced in 2002 between the InterContinental Hotels Group and the University of Memphis. In addition to the scholarship program, which focuses on helping female and minority students interested in the hospitality field, InterContinental Hotels Group also funds the InterContinental Chair of Excellence for the school.
