Presidente InterContinental Puerto Vallarta Introduces Acqua Esencia

The Presidente InterContinental Puerto Vallarta Resort has finalized a complete renovation of the guest rooms and public areas with a fresh and exciting new design style, as well as introducing a very special new concept for relaxation in style "Acqua Esencia".

Focusing on four themes: peace of mind, romance, renewal and joy of life, the Acqua Esencia concept invites guests to experience a vacation through the senses. Acqua Esencia features are incorporated in the public areas, rooms, amenities, ambiance and gardens including extracts from nature itself to renew the spirit with a celebration of the senses. Each room offers a selection of pillows, menu of waters from around the world as well as relaxing music, potpourri and aromatherapy specific to the four themes. A DVD and CD player are also in the rooms, offering music that is customized to the guests chosen experience.

As guests enter the resort and cross a small bridge over lush tropical garden into the lobby, they can hear the cascade of a small waterfall. The lobby is open air and fresh breezes from the beach below bring the scent of the sea. Guests are taken personally to their rooms and as they step out of the elevator, a basket of fruit (a different fruit for each floor), welcomes them with a fresh scent.

Rooms have been designed and decorated with a contemporary Mexican style with crisp colors - melon, lime and bright white. Each room has a balcony overlooking the sea and comfortable striped lounge chairs. In keeping with the natural theme, amenities are provided by L'Occitane, a French cosmetic company which utilizes organic materials in its products. Several of the 23 suites provide a private Jacuzzi.

The resort also provides a library of music and books to suit many moods and themes. A full service spa offering a wide range of massage and beauty treatments is set to be complete by June of 2004.
