First Finish, Inc. recently opened its new West Coast office in California to satisfy growing demand and better facilitate projects on the west coast. To head this new office, First Finish has selected Drew Collins as the General Manager/Project Manager. Drew originally worked as a project manager out of First Finish’s Columbia, Maryland office. In this new role, he will oversee all West Coast operations, including business development and outreach as well as management of projects and opportunities in the state and region.
Drew started in the construction industry almost 20 years ago, as a framer for residential contractors. He went on to work as a project supervisor, before receiving his masters degree in Real Estate from the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. Since then, Drew has worked as a project manager in both residential and commercial construction, continuing to do so for almost 10 years. His experience includes management within several different project sectors, including retail, hospitality, and office development. Drew has significant past performance in design-build, working with clients to develop the most cost-effective and efficient approach to successfully deliver their projects.
Drew will initially be responsible for all aspects of First Finish’s expansion to California, with the ultimate goal of establishing a successful hub to provide services to the entire West Coast region. With an office established in the Irvine/Newport area of Orange County, First Finish will be able to serve not only all of southern California, but also the entire state and region, being in close proximity to local airports (LAX, LGB, and SNA). Embodying First Finish’s core values and work ethic, Drew will ensure delivery of the same quality performance that clients have come to expect, and are accustomed to, from First Finish. He will also be responsible for continued work with existing clients, subcontractors, and vendors as well as for developing new relationships to allow First Finish to serve the region more effectively.
“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity of representing First Finish in California and on the west coast. Having spent a number of years working out of our headquarters in Columbia, Maryland, I’ve gained significant experience working across a variety of sectors and departments while executing renovations as a project manager, with several projects in Maryland, Virginia, and South Florida,” explains Drew. “In doing so, I’m confident I have the tools and knowledge necessary to ensure projects completed on the west coast will be done the First Finish way.”
First Finish’s expansion to the west coast is directly reflective of the commitment to provide the best possible service to existing and new clients alike. With Drew’s experience and leadership, First Finish is extending those services to avoid long-distance management of projects in an effort to stay true to that commitment.
