Hilton today announced the opening of Hilton Guatemala City, the brand's first property in Guatemala. Strategically located near the historic heart of downtown, the 130-room neo-colonial-style hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, two whirlpools, lush gardens surrounding the guestrooms, restaurant and more than 4,000 square feet of event space.
"We are thrilled to welcome Hilton Guatemala City to the brand's growing global portfolio as the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in the country," said Vera Manoukian, senior vice president and global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. "This newest Hilton in Latin America represents our continued interest in the region and introduces business and leisure travelers to Hilton's signature brand amenities and hospitality."
Boasting a neocolonial infrastructure, Hilton Guatemala City offers spacious rooms featuring high ceilings and large windows, locally handmade décor, hand-painted murals and quarry statues. Surrounded by exuberant yards and an artificial waterfall, the guestrooms connect to the lobby through a cobblestone walkway over a bridge. Guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, two whirlpools and a state-of-art fitness center.
For culinary lovers, the hotel's main restaurant Las Ventanas offers national and international cuisine with Mediterranean influence, served in an elegant dining room. Las Cascades bar overlooks the hotel's gardens and waterfall, while serving cocktails and appetizers.
For business conferences and events, Hilton Guatemala City offers seven meeting rooms as well as a business center and lounge. In addition to catering, the hotel provides guests with an optional tent for outdoor events.
"With the debut of Hilton Guatemala City, we are introducing guests to the brand's high-quality accommodations in a cozy atmosphere with décor and ambiance inspired by the local culture," said Mariano Beltranena, general manager, Hilton Guatemala City.
