Interstate Hotels & Resorts adds the historic, 4-Diamond Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles Avenue hotel to its portfolio. The new management contract furthers Interstate's coast-to-coast U.S. expansion following recent acquisitions, including the Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Resort/Convention Center in California and Wyndham Buffalo Downtown in New York.
"Interstate is honored to be the designated management company for such a notable property," said Interstate Hotels & Resorts President and CEO, Mike Deitemeyer. "Great responsibility comes with managing a landmark property, and in partnership with Hilton we're delivering a vibrant New Orleans experience."
Situated in the heart of New Orleans' business district, just blocks from the world-famous French Quarter and the Morial Convention Center, business and leisure guests alike have access to all The Big Easy has to offer. The Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles Avenue features 252 Roaring Twenties-inspired guest rooms, 10,000 sq. ft. of function space with multiple breakout rooms, 24-hour business center, state-of-the-art fitness center, as well as signature restaurant, Luke, a Creole-inspired Brasserie.
Inspired by the spirit of the destination it proudly serves again, the boutique hotel rests on the original site of the Masonic temple, initially constructed in 1891 and designed by James Freret — the first native-born New Orleans architect to achieve national prominence. Original exquisite design features are still in place today including the authentic iron doors that grace the entrance of the building.
