AFM Hospitality Corporation - New Chief Financial Officer named

AFM Hospitality Corporation announced the appointment of James D. Meier as Chief Financial Officer for this growing hospitality franchising, services, and consulting company.

Meier brings a seventeen year hospitality industry background (from Night auditor to CFO) to AFM Hospitality Corporation. Prior to AFM, he was employed as CFO for a company in real estate development, financing, and hospitality development and management. His experience previously has included Corporate Controller and CFO for a Canadian Public company involved in all aspects of hospitality throughout North America; as Financial Reporting manager for a nearly billion dollar (US) gaming, hotel and entertainment public company; and a publicly traded national telecommunications provider handling accounting for a US $ 700 million investment portfolio.

Jim is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). His CPA exam score placed him in the Top Ten of Nevada. A graduate of Minnesota State University, Jim also holds a Master of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas (UNLV).

Meier replaces Scott Dixon who recently resigned to pursue other interests.

Meier will be relocating to Seattle from his home in Las Vegas later in the year.
