Hilton (NYSE: HLT) announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Yangzhou, a 22-storey, 186-room hotel in the business development district of Yangzhou, one of China’s most famous historical cultural cities with over 2,500 years of history. Located within the Sansheng Plaza complex in Hanjiang District, the hotel is a gateway to the district’s premier shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment options. The latest addition to the DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio, and a brand debut in Yangzhou, DoubleTree by Hilton Yangzhou is owned by Sansheng Group and managed by Hilton.
“We are excited to welcome the first DoubleTree by Hilton in Yangzhou and embrace the city’s immense growth in business and leisure travel, backed by infrastructural developments and an abundance of rich historical sites,” said Qian Jin, area president of Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton. “Yangzhou will experience a boom in business opportunities brought by the new Lianyungang-Huai’an-Yangzhou-Zhenjiang high-speed railway in 2020, which enables direct connection between the North and South of Jiangsu Province, as well as quick access to key cities like Nanjing and Shanghai. We look forward to playing a leading role in defining world-class standards of hospitality in Yangzhou.”
DoubleTree by Hilton Yangzhou is conveniently located in the administrative center of Hanjiang District, within walking distance to business centers, government offices and entertainment attractions. The hotel is the first to reside in a commercial complex with direct connection to an urban lifestyle shopping center, Sansheng Plaza. Some of Yangzhou’s most famous attractions, such as Slender West Lake and Daming Temple, are less than 15 minutes away by car. The hotel is also just a short drive away from Yangzhou Taizhou International Airport (50 kilometers) and Yangzhou Railway Station (six kilometers), providing flexible transportation choices to major business and leisure destinations in China.
“Whether traveling for business or leisure, we are delighted to extend our warm welcome to guests in Yangzhou,” said Shawn McAteer, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “As the DoubleTree by Hilton brand celebrates its 50th anniversary, we are continuously committed to innovating for the future to provide comfortable guest experiences, while also focusing on the little things that make a big difference, from welcoming guests with our warm, chocolate chip cookie at check-in, to the excellent service our team members provide.”
