Accor expands its footprint in Uzbekistan with the signing of Mövenpick Hotel Tashkent

Accor together with InterHotel LLC, announce the signing of Mövenpick Hotel Tashkent. The property, which originally opened in 1997 and is a popular destination among international visitors and residents of the city, is set to open under the Mövenpick brand later in 2023, marking the start of a new chapter in its history.

Guests will enjoy Mövenpick Hotel Tashkent's central location on Amir Temur Avenue – one of the major streets of Tashkent leading to the main square of Uzbekistan, Mustaqillik (Independence Square), close to business centers, numerous shops and restaurants.

The hotel is conveniently located within a 30-minute drive of the international airport and a 20-minute drive from the train station with a high-speed rail line to Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and other major cities in Uzbekistan. Travelers who prefer to move around the city by metro can use the Badamzar station located nearby.

Other amenities within walking distance of the hotel include an International Business Center and the main exhibition venue of the country, UzExpoCentre. Those who travel with children can spend an unforgettable day in Tashkentland amusement park with various attractions, an aquapark with several pools and thrilling rides, as well as a Japanese garden with a large lake and a tea house.

Mövenpick Hotel Tashkent will offer 174 rooms and suites of various categories. The hotel will feature spa facilities with a pool, a modern fitness center, spacious lobby, a bar and gourmet restaurant. The hotel infrastructure will also include a banquet hall for special events and several meeting rooms. Guests will be able to enjoy one of Mövenpick's signature experiences – "Chocolate Hour" – featuring a variety of chocolate desserts and homemade treats every day. The restaurant menu will be complemented by Swiss specialties served in each Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts property worldwide. The opening of the Mövenpick Hotel Tashkent is scheduled for later in 2023.
