Mr. Leander brings proven talent to the role and will lead the technical expertise in all aspects of Turning Stone's customer projects and operations.
Carl most recently held the position of Director of Development - Daylight Products at Newmarket International after the company acquired his former employer of ten years, Daylight Software. At Daylight, Carl was Vice President of Development, where he led the technical team that developed the award winning Daylight enterpriseTM, arguably recognized as the most feature-rich, flexible and well architected sales and catering system in the industry.
Debbie Leander, President of Turning Stone Software, is thrilled by the announcement. 'I worked side by side with Carl for over ten years at Daylight, and I am excited to be working with him again,' she said. 'Carl is highly respected by senior executives and peers throughout the hotel industry and has played a key role in the Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) organization. His technical knowledge, especially as it relates to standards in technology and interfaces, is second to none.'
Carl and Debbie were both on the executive team at Daylight Software. A key part of Daylight's growth and success, they helped to raise industry standards in the sales and catering automation niche to new heights. Under their leadership, the company developed a reputation for providing superior customer service and delivering high quality products quickly that met the user community's needs precisely.
Carl's experience and expertise also extend beyond the hospitality industry. Prior to his involvement with Daylight, he worked for Shaw Data Systems, where he was a key architect and developer of many of the company's mission critical financial service software applications used by investment managers, mutual funds, banks, and plan sponsors in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Turning Stone Software was founded in March of 2006 and focuses on software design and development services for applications, interfaces and custom technology projects, as well as business process and user interface consultation -- for both technology vendors and their customers.
