The Sleep Inn brand by Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE:CHH) is celebrating the first hotel within its 400-plus property system to renovate with the brand’s refreshed new look and feel.
The first renovated Sleep Inn hotel is located in Chattanooga, Tenn. and has been updated with the brand’s new design aesthetic, which is aimed at generating a relaxing overnight experience for guests—something that continues to be a concern for weary travelers.
As the brand’s first refreshed renovation, the property features all of the new design highlights, including:
- New lobby with warm, natural finishes; unique lighting; and graphic accent wall.
- Updated breakfast area with all new furniture and contemporary artwork.
- Renovated guestrooms with bright accent walls, new bedding with stylish bed scarves, and eye-catching black-and-white photo displays.
“We believe that we’ve provided travelers with a beautiful new design that will help them think of the Sleep Inn brand when they think about getting a good night’s rest while out on the road,” said Mike Varner, senior director of brand planning and management for Sleep Inn. “We’re serious about aggressively rolling out this new look to consumers but have also made sure to design a renovation program that is cost-effective for our franchise owners and this first renovation is an important milestone in that process.”
The refreshed Sleep Inn design can also be seen in a number of new construction and conversion properties that have opened since the brand’s redesign was announced at the Choice Hotels Annual Convention in May 2010, including: Evergreen, Ala.; Cave City, Ky.; Colby, Kans.; Midlothian, Va.; Middlesboro, Ky.; and Shreveport, La. The brand currently boasts a total of 15 properties that feature its new design.
