The California Hotel & Lodging Association (CH&LA) elected new members to its 2012 Board of Directors at its recent meeting in Sacramento. The nominating committee presented six candidates for consideration to the Board of Directors, who subsequently elected all nominees. Those joining the CH&LA Board of Directors include Tom Klein, Regional Vice President of California Fairmont Hotels and Resorts; Richard Hill, General Manager of the Sheraton Grand Sacramento; Scott VandenBerg, General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Sacramento; John Spear, General Manager of Hotel Drisco in San Francisco; Pete Ells, Managing Director of Ojai Valley Inn & Spa; and J. Peter Lynn, General Manager of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.
These individuals, together with the existing Board of Directors, represent the diverse leadership of the California lodging industry, including owners, operators, corporate and management company representatives, as well as vendors/suppliers and hospitality educators. The CH&LA Board of Directors is chaired this year by Rick Anderson, owner of the Casa Tropicana Inn in San Clemente.
