Europe - Promotional Hotel Rates Finally Higher Than 10 Years Ago

Promotional rates for this past summer at selected Inter-Continental hotels in Europe (those which have remained the same hotel in main centres) are finally higher than those of 10 years earlier, see table, except for Berlin.

Travel Business Analyst However, discount rates for Berlin and Paris are still below those charged in 2002.

However, rates for this summer are not easily compared directly with 2002, as IC has added and subtracted benefits etc.

Rates are billed as 50% off but as the promotional deal includes breakfast this is added to the rack rate (to be divided by two); which would probably guarantee a slight profit for the company. Also, the rates include two breakfasts (the promo rate is per-room not per person).
