Most Internet users are familiar with the term Google Street View, an interactive Google Maps service that enables streetscapes and the facades of buildings to be explored online. The Steigenberger Hotel Group is going one step further by using Google Business View to offer its guests a virtual tour of its establishments before experiencing them live.
Steigenberger joined forces with the Google-certified photographer Marcus Mitter to produce pictures of five Steigenberger Hotels, five InterCityHotels and two Michelin-starred restaurants. Business View operates in the same way as Street View by providing a 360-degree panorama and additional individual photographs. This permits guests who may be interested in visiting one of the premises in question to arrive at a decision more easily by embarking upon a virtual tour beforehand.
"Google Business View delivers a real added value for us and for our guests in particular," commented Kai Gehrmann, Vice President of Franchise, Research and Business Excellence at Steigenberger Hotels AG. "Steigenberger can now be experienced in an interactive manner and boasts a worldwide presence 24 hours a day, 365 days a year."
The following hotels are currently available on Google Business View.
