Interstate Hotels & Resorts announced the executive committee appointments of Laura E. FitzRandolph as executive vice president and chief human resources officer, and Erica H. Hageman as executive vice president and general counsel, both reporting directly to Interstate's CEO, Jim Abrahamson. Bringing nearly 30 years of combined experience, FitzRandolph and Hageman provide a wealth of knowledge in both human resources and law.
FitzRandolph brings more than 15 years of experience and insight to her global human resources role, guiding all aspects of talent acquisition, management and development for Interstate's more than 30,000 associates worldwide. FitzRandolph will also continue to oversee Interstate's labor and employment legal matters. In her previous role at Interstate, she was primarily focused on the Company's U.S. human resources function. Prior to joining Interstate in 2006, FitzRandolph spent eight years in the labor and employment group of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP, and is also a former deputy director of correspondence in the White House Office of Scheduling and Advance and served on the staff of United States Senator Alan Cranston.
In her new role as general counsel, Hageman is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of Interstate's legal and compliance functions. Joining the Company in 2008, Hageman was previously responsible for the oversight of Interstate's global mergers and acquisitions, management agreements, joint ventures and corporate litigation as senior vice president and assistant general counsel. Prior to joining Interstate, Hageman was a litigation associate with the Washington D.C. office of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott.
"The appointments of both Laura and Erica to high level executive positions strengthen Interstate's global human resources and legal teams, reflecting their individual talents," said Jim Abrahamson. "With proven track records of success, they bring superior strategic value to Interstate, and both have established themselves as strong, motivated leaders."
